Hello, I'm Shivananda. Building for the things that quietly run a life — your health, your money.

A loving father – and a principal engineer at Firefly Health in Bengaluru. I'm passionate about what I build — for over a decade that's meant healthcare software, and lately finance too, through Sieve. I dabble in (forced) fitness and online gaming when life allows it.

Sieve ↗

Sieve fine-tunes your goals, filters out the noise, and turns the rest into actionable financial insight. A personal project, built because the way most people choose where their money goes deserves better than guesswork.

Because your financial health matters as much as your physical.

§ about

Over a decade in healthcare software.

Healthcare has been the work for over a decade — long enough to find both the obvious problems and the quieter, structural ones. The next domain that feels under-tooled in the same way is financial health. That's the bet behind Sieve, and probably most of what's next.

Stack is a means. The problem is the point.

I work in Python(Django) and React/React Native today; earlier chapters were TypeScript(and Nodejs for a short span) and Java. None of it matters very much in isolation — they're tools for whatever the problem turns out to need.

Away from the screen: a father first, with (forced) gym time and the occasional game when life allows. Both, it turns out, are good practice for the day job — long games, compounding effort, and paying attention to the things that quietly add up.
